HOW IT WORKS
Our fireplaces run on ethanol, making our products clean and environmentally friendly. As the ethanol burns the main body of the fireplace heats and radiates warmth throughout the room. The burner contained inside takes 2 litres of fuel and burns up to 4 hours depending on the heat setting, which can be adjusted for comfort.
It is the simplicity of the design that makes the object so attractive and effective. This piece will make a practical and aesthetic addition to any apartment and home. COCOON FIRES offers a simple and practical solution for functional and attractive heating. They are very easy to install in both the hanging and standing models.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What type of combustible is used?
The combustible used in the fireplace is ethanol, also known as ethyl alcohol, denatured alcohol or grain alcohol. It is a biofuel which can be derived from plants including corn, wheat, barley and sugarcane.
Ethanol is a renewable resource, when it’s burning there are no harmful emissions, so it’s very safe for the environment and the people who are using it.
How does the fireplace turn on?
Ethanol is poured into the COCOON FIRES burner, inside of the fireplace. A starter is used to turn on the fireplace. You can then regulate or turn off the burner by a sliding mechanism.
Initially the flame will have a blue color, and will gradually change into an attractive orange/yellow flame compared to a wood fire flame.
How long does the fireplace burn for?
The duration of the flame depends on the climate conditions, and the height of the flame. This duration is reduced in an area with more air current. Two litres can last for around 3 hours at maximum flame height.
How much CO2 is produced by the fireplace?
The CO2 produced by the fireplace is compared to the one of a candle.
